Welcome to the Oak Tree Festival Blog, where you'll learn all about the annual Oak Tree Festival, sponsored by St. Dorothy's Catholic Church in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley community of Glendora, California. For more than 15 years, volunteers have come together to produce one of the best community festivals in Southern California, attended each year by more than 25,000 fun-seekers. While the 2010 Festival is now over, visit this blog again for information about next year's event.

The Oak Tree Festival team worked very hard this year to bring you the best in a community event. This year was no different! This is why thousands of people look forward to attending the Oak Tree each year and have made it a family tradition. This year, we brough more attractions, exciting food options and the best entertainment.
Nothing is life is accomplished by ourselves, so I want to thank every one of our sponsors and volunteers for helping me produce the Festival. All of the meetings, discussions, decisions, local business donations and plain hard work helped create this positive outcome, so thank you all!
Our financial success will help St. Dorothy continue its quiet but important work behind the scenes helping those in need. Did you know, for example, that the church offers a cold weather shelter in the parish hall each winter? The church provides relief of all kinds to those suffering from insurmountable personal problems, including our local homeless residents who have nowhere to turn. This is what your "Dorothy Dollars" and cash spent at this year's Festival will do, so you should feel good about that. Save up for next year because we'll be back!
